Media and Studios

Media centres and studios look to meet the most optimum acoustic standards.

Broadcasting has improved in quality over the last few years due to High Definition sound and images.  High tech sound equipment is used to capture the sound but this quality would be diminished if not used in an environment with the best possible acoustic treatment.

H&H have experience working on two of the most state of the art studios in the UK, BBC Studios at Media City and ITV studios at Media City, the new home of Coronation Street.

The BBC Media City project made use of our team of acoustic consultants to help our product designers and manufacturers create bespoke products to meet such stringent requirements.

With the advent of podcasting many people will be looking to improve the sound of their broadcasts and without huge budgets to spend on digital equipment, good quality acoustic products can enhance sound at an affordable cost. Our product website the Noise Control Centre offers a good range of standard products for studios.

We have also worked on both professional recording studios creating the best possible acoustic environment, as well as sold many “off the shelf” products to individuals looking to improve the acoustics of a private recording or rehearsal space.
Many universities and colleges also now have large media departments and H&H have worked with the requirements of these spaces as part of an overall Educational Acoustics package.

Our team of fully qualified acoustic consultants can use the latest computer modelling systems to advise on the best solutions to even the most challenging issues.
